So, last night I had the honor of seeing JP's (Juliana Parr aka Craft Captain) show at The Village gay center on McCadden place It's called Time stamp www.juliannaparr.com/timestamp
It was really amazing. Displayed are thousands of postcards she's done over the past 10 years. The volume and presentation is awesome, in the truest sense of inspiring awe. Each little peice conveys a feeling or idea or preponderance. It's not just the individual pieces but the whole story ,the journal of an artists life. A little despair a little procrastination and a lot of humor.
There will be a book you will want to buy it. If there is any rhyme or reason the show will tour. The catalog will be bought and you'll see her everywhere. I urge you to stop by the village and spend an hour or 3 perusing. You will laugh, sigh, think, and be inspired.
